Memorial & The Woodlands
Cellulite Treatment
Five hands-on techniques in one 50 minute session, worked over the areas where dimpling actually shows.
Results
Drag to compare. These are our own cellulite clients. Results vary from person to person and they are temporary.
The treatment
Every session is 50 minutes and all five techniques are part of it. Your therapist decides how the time is divided across them.

Cellulite massage
The hands-on core of the session. Firm, specific pressure over the area, working the tissue and the lymphatics.
Some pressure. Most people find it relaxing.
Vacuum therapy
Suction lifts the skin away from what is underneath it, working the fascia and bringing blood to the area.
A pulling sensation. Slight discomfort, not painful.
Ultra cavitation
Ultrasound applied over the area with a handpiece, used on thighs, abdomen and buttocks.
Painless. The sound the machine makes bothers people more than the treatment.
Radio frequency
Warms the deeper layer of the skin. The energy is adjustable and it is adjusted to you.
Warmth, and little else. Say so and it comes down.
Wood therapy
Shaped wooden tools worked over thighs and buttocks, following the same lines as the massage.
Firm pressure. Relaxing, occasionally mildly uncomfortable.
Where it works
Thighs
Front, back and the inner thigh, where dimpling shows first.
Buttocks & hips
The area the wood therapy work is built around.
Abdomen
Texture and tone after pregnancy or a change in weight.
Upper arms
The back of the arm, worked in the same session.
Sessions and packages
Available at Memorial and The Woodlands. A $60 deposit holds your appointment and comes off the price of the treatment. Only your first session is booked online.
The upgrade
Add a machine to the same visit
The hands-on work treats the surface, the fascia and the lymphatics. A machine heats the tissue underneath them, so the two are not doing the same job twice, and it goes in the appointment you already have.
Hover to see it working
VelaShape III
Smoother and slimmer
Dimpling and the shape of an area. Body only, at Memorial.
Hover to see it working
Venus Legacy
Firmer and tighter
Skin quality and crepiness. Face and body, at both clinics.
You do not have to pick. Which machine suits you depends on the area and on what is bothering you, and your therapist decides at consultation.
How long it adds depends on the same thing, so the upgrade is priced at consultation rather than added to a cart. Ask when you book, or call 713-474-4774.

How it goes
Before
We start by talking it through: what is bothering you and where, and anything in your medical history we should plan around.
During
Fifty minutes on the table. All five techniques are on hand, and your therapist decides how much of the time each one gets.
After
You go straight back to your day. The area can stay warm or pink for a while, and mild bruising is possible.
Why our clients choose us
The manual work is the core of the session. The technique is the treatment, so who is holding the tools matters.
State-of-the-art techniques
Cellulite massage, vacuum therapy, wood therapy, radiofrequency and lymphatic drainage, combined inside one session instead of sold as separate add-ons.
A plan for your area
The session is built around the area you want treated and how your tissue responds to it, not the same pass over everyone.
A therapy clinic, not a medspa
Lymphatic drainage and post-operative work are what this practice does all day. It is why the manual technique is the core of the session rather than an add-on to a machine.
Non-invasive, no downtime
Nothing is cut and nothing is injected. You go back to your day straight after the appointment.
We say when it is the wrong treatment
If what is bothering you is loose skin rather than dimpling, you hear that at consultation, not after six sessions. And where we say a machine is cleared for something, the clearance number is on that machine’s page.
Looked after to the end of the course
Consultation, aftercare instructions and follow-up appointments, so a course is seen through rather than sold and left.
Before you book
How long is a session?
50 minutes. If you are adding a machine session to the same visit the appointment is longer than either on its own, so ask when you book and we put enough time in the diary rather than running the two into one slot.
Will I see results after one treatment?
You might see some improvement after one, but the results come from a course. That is why the package is six. What we will not tell you is that it guarantees a result or makes it permanent, because that is not what the evidence supports.
How many sessions will I need?
It varies with the severity, the technique and what you want to achieve. Six is the usual plan and your therapist builds it around you at consultation.
Can a massage really reduce cellulite?
On its own, no. Slimming massage is one component of a plan, and ordinary deep tissue or Swedish massage does nothing for cellulite. What this treatment does is combine the manual work with vacuum, ultrasound, radiofrequency and wood therapy in the same session.
Is there any downtime?
None, including on the machine sessions. You can return to your routine straight after.
What are the side effects?
Generally minimal: temporary redness, swelling, mild bruising and slight discomfort, usually settling within a few hours. Adding a machine adds heat and suction, and bruising is the side effect that shows up most often in the published studies on that technology.
Can cellulite come back?
Yes. Treatment can reduce its appearance but cellulite returns over time, particularly if diet and exercise are not part of the picture. Every machine clearance behind this treatment uses the word temporary, and so do we.
Should I add a machine session?
Often, yes: the manual techniques work the surface, the fascia and the lymphatics, and a machine heats the tissue underneath them, so they are not doing the same job twice. Which machine depends on the area and on what is bothering you, and your therapist chooses at consultation. See VelaShape III and Venus Legacy.
Who should not have it?
Pregnancy, active cancer treatment, some skin and circulatory conditions and, for the machine part, a pacemaker or metal implants in the area, all rule it out or need a doctor first. Your therapist screens for this before your first session.

What we do and do not claim
Results are temporary
Cellulite treatment reduces the appearance of cellulite. It does not remove it and it
is not a treatment for weight. Results vary from person to person, they build across a
course rather than a single visit, and they fade, which is why maintenance sessions
exist.
About the images on this page
The before and after images are our own cellulite clients, shown with their permission.
They are individual results and are not a prediction of yours.
The machine upgrade
Where a session includes a device, the devices we use are VelaShape III (FDA clearance
K122579) and Venus Legacy (K191528). Both are cleared for the temporary reduction in the
appearance of cellulite. What each one is and is not cleared for is set out in full on
its own page and on
the Venus Legacy page. Cleared is not the same as approved.
Suitability and side effects
Temporary redness, swelling, mild bruising and slight discomfort are the usual side
effects and generally settle within hours. Pregnancy, active cancer treatment and certain
skin and circulatory conditions rule the treatment out or need a doctor first, and the
machine part adds implanted electrical devices and metal implants in the area to that
list. Your therapist screens for all of it before your first session.
